My Depression (The Up and Down and Up of It) is an animated, musical and humorous, short film documenting a woman's journey through a bout of depression.

Based on a picture book by Elizabeth Swados, animators David Wachtenheim and Robert Marianetti created a film in collaboration with Ms. Swados depicting the inner turmoil that a person suffering from depression may experience. Every individual experience may differ but the filmmakers hope to impart the message that those suffering from depression are not alone and while things seem hopeless, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
